Microgaming has finally released more details about the identity of the winner of the The 2009 Grand Slam of Slots. The richest slot tournament in the world gave away €1.3 million this week and €1 million of this went to a man named Stefan from the U.K.

Stefan won the grand prize at Ladbrokes Online Casino, where he qualified for the slots tournament back in July with a tiny 2 Euro bet. To top things off, Stefan reached the finals of the Grand Slam of Slots on his birthday!

The South London resident, who works in the movie industry, was registered in the slots tournament under the name "Pattoned" and said about winning the grand prize: "I’m absolutely stunned!  What will I do with the money? Who knows; we’ll have to wait and see! ”

When asked if he will quit his job in light of his huge win he said: “I’m not thinking about leaving work at all, I absolutely love what I do and want to continue it for as long as I can”.

The 2009 Grand Slam of slots had over 8,000 players registered and lasted for 10 days. The slots tournament was played on the cult favorite, Tomb Raider and The Grand Slam of Slots 2009 awarded a total of 483 players and 83 of these came from Ladbrokes.com Casino.

Upon hearing of Stefan's love of the NFL, Ladbrokes also awarded him an all-expenses paid trip to the Super Bowl on top of his €1 million prize.
